Laila Pettus
Career Education Intern
|
Meet Laila Pettus, a broadcast journalism & advertising double major from Washington, D.C.!
Laila is an Associate Producer & Host for UMTV’s The Culture, a reporter for Pulse, and a member of the Society of Professional Journalists.
This year, she is most looking forward to being an Associate Producer on the UMTV show 'The Culture’ and excited about stepping outside of her comfort zone and getting hands-on practice operating behind the camera.
One way Laila is #KeepinIt100 is by speaking up when she needs help. Whether it's asking for feedback, seeking advice from mentors, or collaborating with peers, she says that being honest about her needs helps her grow and ensures she is always learning and improving.
Piece of Advice:
“Always do everything out of love because eventually, love is all we have for people to remember us by.”
