The 17th annual Undergraduate Research, Creativity, and Innovation Forum (RCIF) will take place on April 28, 2025, at the Shalala Ballrooms. Organized by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Community Outreach, RCIF celebrates the contributions students have made during their research experiences by providing a glimpse into the ongoing projects across all three campuses.
Students from all disciplines can present their work to a wide audience comprised of their peers, faculty, staff, and the larger UM community. Students will showcase their mentored research through posters, short 3-minute oral presentations, or panel presentations.
If you would like to showcase your research, please declare your intent to present by February 21.
For additional information regarding RCIF, applying to present, and how to get involved, please click here.

Guest Experience Assistant
|
Meet Isa Romanov, a sophomore psychology and business law major from New Jersey!
Isa is actively involved on campus as a Dean’s Ambassador for the College of Arts and Sciences and a member of Psi Chi, the Psychology Honor Society. This year, she is excited to expand her involvement by rushing a sorority and engaging in volunteer work to further connect with the UM community.
Isa credits Toppel for opening her eyes to valuable career resources, which have helped her clarify her professional goals. Through networking and mentorship, she has built strong connections in her field and looks forward to continuing her career journey.
Piece of Advice:
“You are the only thing that is permanent in your own life, so invest in yourself first. Stay organized, build consistency, and prioritize your growth - you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve!”
