#KeepinIt100

Meet Sara Hernandez Ramirez, a sophomore industrial & systems engineering major with a minor in psychology!

This past summer, Sara interned with AdventHealth’s Supply Chain department, contributing to initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions. On campus, Sara works with the UOnline marketing team, where she developed a social media strategy to boost engagement and strengthen brand identity.

Sara says that Toppel has been essential to her career development by helping her with everything from building her resume from scratch to providing opportunities like visiting global companies in London. Sara cites that Toppel has connected her with resources and networks that have helped her kick-start her career journey. By attending many of the events at Toppel, Sara exposed herself to valuable connections and is confident that these resources will have a lasting impact on her life and career.

Piece of Advice:

"The best way to stand out is to be yourself. Embrace your background and unique experiences, let them fuel your journey, and always remain curious. Learn and grow from those around you, but stay true to who you are!"

The 17th annual Undergraduate Research, Creativity, and Innovation Forum (RCIF) will take place on April 28, 2025, at the Shalala Ballrooms. Organized by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Community Outreach, RCIF celebrates the contributions students have made during their research experiences by providing a glimpse into the ongoing projects across all three campuses.

Students from all disciplines can present their work to a wide audience comprised of their peers, faculty, staff, and the larger UM community. Students will showcase their mentored research through posters, short 3-minute oral presentations, or panel presentations.

If you would like to showcase your research, please declare your intent to present by February 21.

For additional information regarding RCIF, applying to present, and how to get involved, please click here.
