#KeepinIt100

Meet Kylia Brown, a junior public relations major on the pre-law track!

Kylia serves as vice-chair for What Matters to U and is a student-life liaison for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council within Student Government, where she has been actively involved since her freshman year. She also works as a student assistant in the Office of the President and as a Teacher’s Assistant for the First Year Directions course, mentoring first-year and transfer students in their transition to UM!

Kylia recently participated in the London Career Crawl, where she explored how her writing skills could translate into international career paths. She also interns with the School of Law, collaborating with changemakers in the Overtown community to shape conversations around climate, energy, and environmental justice.

Piece of Advice:

"Welcome making mistakes; they are essential to growth and learning. Without life experience, we cannot be successful. Trust the process, and let each lesson build your confidence!"

Take the Career Services Experience Survey

Let your voice be heard: take the University of Miami Career Services Experience Survey! The survey was created to get your perspective on current career support and to contribute to shaping a university-wide vision for the future of career services at UM. The survey covers various services, including the Toppel Career Center, school/college career support, and other related career resources.

You received the survey via email last Tuesday, January 28th, with a unique link to share your feedback. Responses are confidential, and the survey takes approximately 5-7 minutes. The survey closes this Friday, Feb. 7, so be sure to check your email!
