Meet Neal Karlinsky, a senior majoring in advertising management!
Neal has intentionally pursued opportunities that offer real responsibility, exposure to senior leaders, and meaningful learning beyond the classroom. Driven by interests in law, public service, and communications, he seeks roles that blend professional accountability with hands-on experience in high-impact environments.
As an Investigations Unit Intern at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, Neal supported prosecutors and investigators through felony case preparation, legal research, gaining firsthand insight into the prosecutorial process while learning the importance of precision, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Neal also serves as Talent and Production Manager for the Miami Unveiled podcast, overseeing guest relations and production logistics for leaders across government, education, and business.
Throughout his journey, the Toppel Career Center has played an instrumental role in Neal’s growth, guiding him in clarifying his goals, refining his professional story, and pursuing competitive opportunities, including the Angelo Endowment that helped fund his internship.
Piece of Advice:
“Take advantage of opportunities early, even if you’re still figuring out your long-term path. Be willing to step outside your comfort zone, ask questions, and build relationships with mentors and campus resources like Toppel. Each experience adds perspective and helps shape your career direction.”

Arya Do
Graphic Design Intern

Meet Arya, a senior majoring in keyboard performance from Vietnam!
As she approaches her final year at UM, Arya is preparing for her upcoming senior recital while balancing a demanding course load. Though the semester is busy, she has found success by adopting a focused time-chunking approach, dedicating set periods to one task at a time. This strategy has boosted her productivity, reduced stress, and helped her build sustainable habits. With graduate school auditions behind her, Arya is embracing this milestone moment with purpose and growth.
Piece of Advice:
“Divide time chunks for your day and just focus on one thing at a time. This method is very helpful to adopt a new habit or avoid last-minute cramming.”
