Meet Julia Lindblad, a senior Industrial Engineering major!

After spending last spring studying abroad in Sydney, Australia, Julia returned to Miami ready to dive into new professional opportunities. She recently began an internship at Enfinity Global, a renewable energy and sustainability company, where she serves as an EPC Administrative Intern. In her role, Julia assists the team with vendor outreach for solar panel components, price analysis, contract management, and day-to-day project coordination.

Through Toppel, Julia learned about Handshake, which is where she found the position. While searching for a fall internship, she decided to take an extra step and personally reached out to the recruiter after applying. Despite hundreds of applicants, her message stood out, leading to an interview and an offer. She credits this experience with teaching her the power of persistence, communication, and confidence.

Piece of Advice:

“Show initiative and follow through. I got my internship because I reached out personally and stayed persistent, even through communication mix-ups. You don’t need prior experience to succeed, just confidence, authenticity, and a willingness to start somewhere.”
