#KeepinIt100

Meet Victoria Gonzalez, a double media management and communication studies major with a minor in Spanish!

Victoria gained firsthand experience in the legal industry as a marketing and recruiting intern at a big law firm in Miami. Over the past year, she has developed strong networking, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills, which have helped her integrate into Miami’s corporate culture. Through this role, she has learned how to adapt to law-specific recruitment systems and administrative tracking tools, further solidifying her passion for law and her aspirations to become an attorney.

Victoria has also taken full advantage of the Toppel Career Center, which she says has played a key role in helping her expand her career perspective through the London Career Crawl. This experience allowed her to network with top firms and industry leaders, including Morgan Stanley, Hogan Lovells, Bloomberg, Canary Wharf Group, and Skyscanner. Engaging with UM alumni and global business professionals helped her recognize the limitless opportunities available with the right skill set and work ethic.

Piece of Advice:

"Build strong relationships wherever you go – on campus, in your city, or at work. Trust and reliability open doors to future opportunities. Also, ask questions and learn from everyone around you – those who have achieved your version of success have invaluable knowledge to share!"

Chavín Medina

Graphic Design Intern

Meet Chavín Medina, a freshman BFA Musical Theatre student from Austin, TX!

Chavín is actively involved in the Theatre Action Group, Sigma Gamma Epsilon, and the Rock Climbing Club. This year, he is excited to grow alongside his peers and push himself to new heights in both his education and personal development.

For Chavín, #KeepinIt100 means fully dedicating himself to his craft and education without letting insecurity or anxiety stand in the way of his growth. Through this mindset, he has learned that perfection isn’t the goal - growth is. As long as he is learning and challenging himself, he knows he is on the right path.

Piece of Advice:

"Be yourself no matter what, and never let failure define you. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow – embrace it!"
