Natalie Gutierrez
Career Coach
|
Meet Natalie Gutierrez, a junior computer science major with a minor in business technology!
Natalie is a part of the Developer Student Club and First Gen Canes. Reflecting on her previous semesters, she has come to realize the valuable lesson of being confident in your abilities. She says it's important to remember that everyone is on their own learning journey and that there's no need to compare yourself unfavorably to others.
Natalie says that using Toppel’s resources has helped her to #UShine and achieve her career goals by perfecting her resume and cover letter, making connections within her industry through Cane2Cane, and learning how to both navigate her industry and build on essential skills by using Forage.
As a career coach, Natalie says that she has become very knowledgeable about Toppel's various resources, which allows her to use them to the best of their capabilities. She says that coming into drop-in as a student and gaining guidance from a career coach can help all other students be just as knowledgeable as well and will help them reach their career goals.
Piece of Advice:
“Failure is a natural part of growth. Learning from mistakes can lead to personal and professional development.”
