Black Rock's Summer Internship Program is for candidates in their penultimate year of study (graduating August 2023 - July 2024) and obtaining their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Following orientation, interns receive on-the-job training and are given day-to-day responsibilities to contribute to their teams throughout the summer. The program also includes a speaker series, mentoring program, and various networking opportunities. Read the full internship description and apply by September 30th on Handshake.

Syianni Cook
Employer Engagement Intern
|
Syianni Cook is a first-year psychology major from Pennsauken, New Jersey! She is currently a part of the Student Government Organization, United Black Students Organization, and The Council of Negro Women.
One way she said she had to #LevelUp was by using better time management to achieve her career goals. This allowed her to get the jobs she has today as an Employer Engagement Intern and as a member of the Guest Experience Assistance team at the Toppel Career Center.
Piece of advice:
“Understand that things won’t always go as planned or as you want them, and being okay with that. Getting worked up over inevitable things does nothing but create more stress for yourself, and after implementing this, my life has improved.”
