#BreakThru

Congratulations to the Skills Advantage Series: Winter Edition 2020-2021 cohort! SAS serves students who want to learn beyond the classroom by homing in on specific transferable skills or for those who proactively aim to gain a new skillset that otherwise would not be available to them within their respective major. This winter’s participants chose between a variety of tracks, including digital marketing, project management, graphic design, coding, healthcare data science, and non-profit & grant writing.

The series launched on Monday, December 14th, 2020, and concluded last week - allowing students to gain an understanding of current industry knowledge and practices, apply learned skills to future academic and professional opportunities, and maximize resume potential as a current student. If you're interested in participating, stay tuned for future offerings of the Skills Advantage Series.

Best Advice?

If there is one thing I wish I had known in my previous years at the U, it's that your professors are there to help you. They are people just like you and you should try and form professional relationships with them.

#BreakThru Story?

I have had to #BreakThru this year by finding remote internships so I can keep myself safe while still achieving my goals. Be confident in yourself when pursuing opportunities, as sometimes your confidence is the difference between success and failure.
