This article covers 10 “little” things you can do that will ultimately have a huge impact on your career. The best part? None of them require too much time or effort.

 

Strengthen your Search Skills

Taking time to understand Handshake’s search functionality will help you identify the best jobs for you. Use the tips below to strengthen your search skills and make your job search more efficient:

  • Remeber to search using Keywords.
  • Use the filters and create a saved search. For example, if you are looking for a summer internship in a specific city, you can set these as filters in your search!
  • Favorite the jobs that you are interested in, and mark the jobs you are not interested in as “not relevant” to customize your user experience.
  • Sort job listings by using the drop-down arrow next to the ‘Sort By: Relevancy’ button on top right-hand corner.

The Enterprise and the Environment Summer School is designed, delivered, and managed by the University of Oxford. It is a program intended for undergraduates as well as recent graduates and young professionals passionate about leading environmental change in business, NGOs or the government sector. During the Summer School, attendees will be provided with over 50 hours of teaching (through a combination of lectures, simulations, field trips and case-studies), engage in discussion with University of Oxford academics, and network with a global classroom of students.

Devin Rogan

Assistant Director, Recruiting Services

Devin oversees all on-campus recruiting at Toppel, including company information sessions and on-campus interviews. He focuses on creating and planning interactive events between students and prospective employers. He is originally from Central New Jersey and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Monmouth University. Devin is also pursuing a graduate degree at the University of Miami and is excited to be a part of the Hurricane family.
