It’s the end of the semester! We know this can be a stressful time for students, between final exams, projects, work/job responsibilities, and trying to make memories with friends.

As you navigate finals week, here’s an article with some tips to help you monitor (and maintain) your mental health.

You can also access on-campus services through the counseling center.

If you're graduating this semester, congratulations! We’re really proud of you and want you to know that we’re here to celebrate your successes and help in any way that we can. In order to do so, we need to hear from you about your post-graduation plans. Taking the University of Miami Graduating Student Survey will be a huge help to the University, to your fellow classmates, and to yourself!

Please take 5 minutes to fill out the confidential online Graduating Student Survey HERE so that the University can learn about your UM experience and what your plans are after graduation.

As a bonus, by taking the survey, you will have the chance to win a $250 Amazon gift card thanks to Handshake.

Additional information:

  • Your responses will be used for research purposes only and will be confidential. No answers will ever be linked to you in any report.

  • If you would like more information about the survey, contact Dr. Alexandra Lord, Director of Assessment & Communication at the Toppel Career Center, at toppel@miami.edu or (305) 284-5451.
Best of luck in your future endeavors!

Mary Gorski

Drop-In Advisor

Mary Gorski is a sophomore majoring in Architecture and minoring in Fine Art. Outside of Toppel, Mary enjoys many artistic pursuits such as painting, drawing, cooking and baking. She also enjoys various campus activities, especially Pancakes with Pat.

Best Advice:

Get off campus and experience what Miami the city has to offer. Not just the nightlife and beach, but food festivals, restaurants, botanical gardens, and the architecture! Miami is a gorgeous melting pot of so many cultures that can teach you so much.

#BounceBack Story:

I had to #Bounceback this year when I started applying for jobs and internships. Instead of keeping myself in a box and only applying to opportunities I was 100% a match for, I started applying to anything that interested me. I redid my resume and created a portfolio website to polish my professional presence. Although it’s a tedious process, getting reorganized has helped me stay patient when trying to find the best internship for me.
