#BounceBack

Meet Edely Rodriguez! Edely is a first-year from the Greater Boston area, Massachusetts, majoring in Human Resources Management. Edely is a scholar in the Latina Project Program, and she is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in the business field and within the professional world through new, upcoming, and continuing opportunities at UM. Edely says being in a new state and new environment during a pandemic has made it difficult for her to figure out which resources are available to her, but that she has been able to #BounceBack after taking advantage of Toppel.

Some advice from Edely: Push and ask the best of yourself without setting impossible expectations that will make you feel as though you aren’t accomplishing anything at all.

Best Advice:

You live and learn.

#BounceBack Story:

I had to get over my shyness and begin speaking with people to put myself out there, meet new people and learn about the different opportunities in front of me. Because of this, I got a job at Toppel Career Center!
