Are you studying for the LSAT or MCAT? If you need books and/or other study materials, you might find some free options right here on campus. Above the Bar and Student Government held a fundraiser last year that has donated LSAT and MCAT books to the library. These books are free and available to check out to all University of Miami students.
You can view the materials here and find the books at the front desk of the Richter Library.

When was the last time you asked a boss or peer for feedback? Seeking and receiving performance feedback from anyone can be scary. However, constructive and regular feedback from managers and colleagues on your performance can help you learn, grow, and prepare for the next step in your career. But how do you get the input you need? Follow these three principles from the Harvard Business Review to learn How to Get the Feedback You Need:
- Understand the kind of feedback you want
- Ask in real time to create a more organic feedback loop
- Pose specific questions that begin with ‘how’ or ‘what’
Also, check out Toppel’s “Get Performance Feedback” resource if you would like a thorough (and cool-looking) report on your performance at any experiential learning or work experience.

Best Advice
For the most part, it is almost impossible to “screw up.” There is a lesson in every mistake, which will ultimately help you grow as a person. However, you choose whether you want to learn it the hard or the easy way.
#BounceBack Story
Although I am very grateful for the opportunity, I strongly disliked my internship this summer. It really made me self-reflect on the path I wanted to take with my major. This experience has redirected me to begin searching and networking with companies that meet the criteria for things I want in my career.
