Chewy provides online resources for pet owners, including products, supplies, and prescriptions – and they have two upcoming virtual competitions for Black, Latinx and Indigenous Students of Color. The ChewyHacks Virtual Hackathon is a four-day event that places students into teams to solve a technology-driven coding challenge. The ChewyCase Competition tasks students with solving real-world business problems.
Prizes for placing teams include 2021 internship offers at Chewy, and money to pay for books. The deadline to register for both events is November 13th, so don’t miss out!!

Do you need a place to study for your final exams, or just to get some homework done? How about a change of scenery while attending virtual classes? Toppel Career Center is now an option for you!
You can reserve study rooms at Toppel for individual study use, either in the morning (9:00 AM - noon) or the afternoon (1:30 PM - 4:30 PM). There is a maximum of one appointment per day, and bookings can be made here up to seven days in advance.
At the start of your reservation, Toppel staff will admit you to the building, and you will need to show your completed daily symptom checker. Please remember to wipe down your seating area before and after use. You will need a face covering when you arrive, but it can be removed once you are inside your reserved room.

Best Advice?
Hesitation leads to devastation. Although this sounds corny because it rhymes, it is important to me because it reminds me to do everything with my full attention, go full force and have a positive mindset.
#BreakThru Story?
A barrier I've had to #BreakThru when reaching toward my career goals is being comfortable talking in social situations. I have always been introverted when I first meet someone and in groups tend to just sit quietly and listen. By working on my communication skills, I have been able to speak up to ask questions and include my own thoughts about the things I want to do career-wise, which has lead me to learn more about what exactly I want to do with my majors.
