#GoalDiggin

Meet Anne, a sophomore pursuing a dual degree in Public Health and International Studies with minors in Gender Studies and Health Management and Policy. Anne has been #GoalDiggin as a community outreach coordinator and HIV/STD counselor at the Adolescent Counseling and Testing Services Clinic (ACTS) at the University of Miami Health System. Through this position, she has gained experience working in a clinic and has learned about procedures, different terminology, and how to interact with patients within such a sensitive and confidential area. Anne says, “My time in the Professional Development Academy through Toppel has further prepared me for a career in healthcare by providing me with a curated course that supports my future success in the medical industry.”

Anne shares this piece of advice: “Make an attempt at every opportunity that presents itself, even if you feel like you aren't qualified or have the proper training. You'll be surprised by what you're capable of!”
