#GoalDiggin

Mollie Cole is a senior graduating this semester with majors in Economics, Judaic Studies, and Latin American Studies. Mollie has been #GoalDiggin all semester long, which helped her secure a job offer. “I'll be working at a company called YGrene in their Doral office as a Business Operations Analyst. I'm really excited about my experience there because the company finances eco-friendly home improvement projects”

"The first time I had heard of Ygrene was at the Spring Career Fair. They were the first table I stopped at, and I left my resume with them because I was interested in their work with sustainability. Peer Messaging and Reviews

Handshake is not only a great resource to find your dream job but is also a great way to network and get advice from other peers. There are more than six million college students using Handshake that may have the answers to your questions or could give you an inside look at internships, employers, interviews, and more! Here are three ways to get advice from your peers:

  • Explore student Q&A’s to view previously asked questions, or better yet, submit one of your own.
  • View employer and job reviews to learn more about the open positions and companies you’re interested in.
  • Send a message to a current or past student that has found a job/internship through Handshake and find out how they did it!
For more information about boosting your job search with help from your peers, read these suggestions from Handshake.

Jose Gonzalez

Office Manager

I received my Bachelor’s Degree from University of Miami in the spring of 2018, and I am currently working towards an M.A. in Management Studies here at the University. I joined the Toppel Career Center as part of the Operations & Strategic Initiatives Team in 2018. If I could offer some words of wisdom for the future they would be to not be afraid to take risks; sometimes you’ll find yourself ahead and sometimes you’ll find yourself behind but in the end, the race is only with yourself so always finish what you start.

Outside of the University, I enjoy assisting whenever possible at a non-profit organization known as Operation Enduring Warrior, whose mission is to honor, empower, and motivate our wounded military and law enforcement. It is an absolute honor and a humbling experience to work with these veterans who have sacrificed and done so much for this great nation. My other hobbies include martial arts and playing soccer, also you can always catch me on Saturdays supporting our Canes during football season.
