Disability:IN NextGen Leaders are college students and recent graduates with disabilities who bring top talent for corporate America. NextGen Leaders have the opportunity to connect with organizations across all industries. Leaders are matched one-on-one with mentors from Disability:IN Corporate Partners as part of a six-month mentorship program. This culminates in an all-expense paid trip to the Disability:IN Annual Conference in July 2020 where they network and interview with companies. Students that are accepted into the program meet virtually twice a month with a corporate mentor, participate in professional development webinars, and receive notifications of job opportunities throughout the year.
Apply here by December 6th.

I graduated from Florida International University during summer of 2015. I had many interests and jumped around a few majors. Feeling lost, I looked towards the career center at FIU for a sense of direction. The career center at FIU provided me with the tools and resources I needed to design my path. Eager to graduate, I decided to major in Interdisciplinary Studies, minored in Hotel/Lodging Management and utilized my connections to land an on campus position as a student assistant at The Office of International Affairs; the job where I discovered a passion for working with students and jumpstarted my career in higher education. I didn’t know it then but every person I met on my journey throughout my undergrad led me one step closer to where I am now. My take-away, leave positive lasting impressions and maintain relationships with those you meet along your journey. It’s not only about who you know, but who knows you.
