#MakeMoves

Meet Alec Jimenez! Alec is a Senior studying Architectural Engineering. He is currently interning as a Project Manager for Arkup LLC, a Miami-based shipbuilding start-up.

At Arkup, Alec helps to manage the construction of the company’s first off-grid livable-yacht. Through this internship he has been able to apply what he has learned in the classroom to a real project and develop new skills in construction project management.

Some Advice from Alec: “Use Handshake! Especially the tool that allows you to save search filters. That way you get notifications when companies upload job descriptions that match your search criteria! This will allow you to be aggressive when the jobs are posted which will look impressive for potential employers as they see your application right away.”
