The Toppel Career Center has a variety of engagement options for faculty and staff to work together to support students in their career journeys. Join the Career Champions Network or review the Faculty Toolkit for additional ideas on how we can partner in the career education of students.

What is the Career Champions Network?

Faculty and staff have consistent interactions with students across campus -- interactions for which the Career Champions Network initiative is aimed to equip, guide, and connect faculty and staff to confidently and accurately carry out.

The main goal behind the Career Champions Network is to prepare our students as much as possible to be professionally ready for opportunities during and after their time at the University of Miami. Through a series of interactive workshops, faculty and staff will feel more prepared to assist students with their career development and become very knowledgeable about the resources and services offered to students at the Toppel Career Center.

The sessions are as follows:

Gain insight into new trends happening in career education and the frameworks we utilize to support our students in their careers.

  • Wednesday, January 25, 3:30-5:00PM

  • Wednesday, February 22, 3:30-5:00PM

Faculty Toolkit

In Toppel's Faculty Toolkit you will find an overview of the Toppel Career Center, information on Career Readiness, a Faculty Engagement menu, a student email template, and syllabus/assignment examples. Research has shown that college students who receive career advice and information from faculty have greater career mobility and therefore, we are hoping faculty will review and share the content provided.
